We are so fortunate to work alongside so many talented vendors for each of our weddings! We wanted to take the opportunity to introduce you to a few and learn a little bit about their small businesses. Lindsey Morgan Photography originated while she was still living in Jacksonville, FL and her portfolio of fabulous work continued to grow as she relocated this past year to eastern Georgia, where she able to still work with Jacksonville clients, as well as better service her Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC clients, as well as the surrounding areas. Let's get to know Lindsey a little bit + more about Lindsey Morgan Photography!
A little background about Lindsey Morgan Photography from the owner herself: "I started my business 6 years ago as a high school student! I mainly did family and maternity portraits for the first two years. I always had a love for photography, but didn’t necessarily see it as my career path. When I was in my first year of college, I had some ongoing health issues that made me have to step back and drop my classes for the year. During that time, I was able to start pursuing my business as more than just a hobby. I eventually had the opportunity to photograph a wedding, and after that day, I knew that was what I was supposed to be doing. I loved every single aspect of it! I started going to networking events in my area, attending workshops and online classes. I was like a sponge soaking up everything I could learn because I knew I wanted this to be my career. Fast forward a few, very hardworking years later and I’m a full time wedding photographer! It’s my passion and career combined and I feel so blessed to be able to say that. Also, as my business has grown, my mom, Tracy, has worked full time with me for a little over a year now! She takes care of a lot of things behind the scenes and then on wedding days, she is my assistant and second shooter. We have so much fun working together and serving our couples!"
When it comes to working with a planner versus working directly with a couple, Lindsey is all for a client having a planner! Lindsey says "Everything is more organized going into wedding day because of the communication and preparation with the planner, allowing everyone to be on the same page. Having a planner will make your day run SO much more seamlessly and is one of the wisest investments a couple can make for their wedding." We could not agree more!
A few of Lindsey's favorite southeastern venues are: Oyster Bay Yacht Club in Amelia Island, Florida, The Mackey House in Savannah, Georgia and The William Aiken House in Charleston, South Carolina. She would love to one day shoot at the Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega, Georgia, Middleton Place in Charleston, SC and the Swan House in Atlanta, Georgia. We love to travel outside of Charleston and hope to get to work at a few of these ourselves :)
We are so excited for several of our fall weddings with Lindsey at Lowndes Grove, the Cedar Room and Kiawah River!
